Product information "Onset Pro OD Green"

The BUCK 040 Onset is a modern, slim and very robust pocket knife. A frame lock offers a secure lock of the blade, and the showside is coated with beautiful olive green (OD Green) G10. The black Ceracote coating gives the knife a tactical look, and at the same time it protects the blade. As for blade steel, a specially heat-treated S45VN steel is used, which brings ultimate performance with its flat grind. The blade is mounted on ball bearings and can be opened smoothly with one hand using the flipper. With the detachable pocket clip, the 040 Onset is the perfect upgrade for EDC.

It all began with a young, enthusiastic blacksmith named Hoyt Buck, who was ahead of his time. He was looking for a way to extend the cutting life of steel. He sold his first knives, all handmade, in 1902, even taking worn, used blades as raw material. After the Second World War (1947), Hoyt and his son Al founded the company HH Buck & Sohn in San Diego. With the knife model 110 Folding Hunter and the Back-Lock, Al Buck revolutionized the knife industry in 1964. This blade safety system still holds a leading position until today. Hoyt's and Al Buck's ingenuity made the company famous worldwide.
