The sand-polished blade of the pocket knife is 8 cm long and is locked in place by the very popular crossbar lock mechanism. This means that the knife does not simply fold shut when working and the odd scar can be avoided. An exceptional steel called AR-RPM9 was used for the blade material. This steel is hardened to a full 59-61 HRC Rockwell hardness, which makes it particularly edge-holding.
