The high-quality Cold Steel Espada XL S35VN is not big, it's huge! But it is " great"-like!
The only word that comes to mind to describe it is "legendary".
Inspired by the Spanish Navaja knives (the Navaja is still used in Spain today), but with a design and materials that represent the 21st century.
The Espada series is the result of the brilliant collaboration between Andrew Demko and Lynn C. Thompson. This collection is a masterpiece of modern knifemaking. If you thought Crocodile Dundee had a big knife, look no further. It's even a pocket knife! The blade of the XL Espada is made of high-quality S35 VN steel, an American super steel known for its sharpness and durability. The polished G-10 handle scales and the 7075 aluminum frame not only give the knife an attractive appearance, but also a robust construction.
It can be carried in jeans or a pocket thanks to the pocket clip and also weighs "only" 454 g. Thanks to Andrew Demko's ingenious design with a "thumb disk" (a flat thumb stud mounted on the back of the blade, similar to the well-known "Emerson opener"), which allows the knife to be opened at lightning speed, it is always ready for use.
But the best is yet to come: The blade of the XL Espada is secured with Cold Steel's patented Tri-Ad locking mechanism, which has proven to be incredibly robust and reliable. This mechanism can withstand anything you can imagine - and remains securely and firmly locked and can then be folded again as smooth as butter, as if on springs.
With an overall length of approx. 42.5 cm and a blade length of approx. 19 cm, the XL Espada is a real powerhouse. It is not just a tool that wants to be used, but a statement. The Cold Steel Espada XL S35VN is definitely worth every penny!

He is also an extremely good shooter and skilled hunter as well as an excellent fighter in stick fighting, sword fighting, sabre fencing and a master in all types of knife fighting. He practices his martial arts as a full-contact variant, with only a minimum of protective equipment. In addition, he has held countless seminars in knife fighting all over the world over the years, as well as producing training and instructional videos. Lynn develops most of the products himself or in cooperation with his team, which also has martial arts background. All knives are worked out down to the last detail and subjected to countless tests.
