Cold Steel Kiridashi - modernes Alltagsmesser, 6,4 cm lange Kiridashi-Klinge, gefertigt aus 4034SS Edelstahl, robuster Tri-Ad-Lock, Griffschalen aus Griv-Ex, mit Fangriemenöse und Taschenclip
Das traditionelle Kiridashi ist ein typisches Allzweckmesser aus dem japanischen Raum, das mit einer simplen aber äußerst nützlichen Form überzeugt. Die Designer von Cold Steel hatten beim Entwurf ihrer eigenen Interpretation dieses Messers die gleichen Ansprüche und wollten einen Folder entwickeln, der einfach und effizient ist. Die 6,4 cm lange Klinge hat die klassische Kiridashi-Form, die stark einer Wharncliffe-Klinge ähnelt und sich für verschiedene Aufgaben eignet. Sie besteht aus dem japanischen 4034SS Edelstahl, welcher kaum Pflege benötigt und dennoch lange scharf bleibt. Der von Cold Steel entwickelte Tri-Ad-Lock sichert die Klinge zuverlässig, nachdem sie mühelos über den Daumenpin einhändig geöffnet wurde, um ein gefahrenloses Arbeiten zu ermöglichen. Der Griff besteht aus stabilem Griv-Ex, der auch starke Belastungen aushält. Durch die ausgeprägte Texturierung der Oberfläche bleibt der Griff auch bei Nässe angenehm griffig und liegt gut und sicher in der Hand. Die Fangriemenöse am Ende des Messers ermöglicht das Anbringen eines Lanyards.
Cold Steel was founded in 1980 by Lynn C. Thompson and is based in California. Lynn is a true martial arts expert who has been dedicated to the study of many martial arts since his early youth, including Ruy Karate, Thai Boxing, Wado, Jeet Kune Do, Kali and Jiu Jitsu. He is also an extremely good shooter and skilled hunter as well as an excellent fighter in stick fighting, sword fighting, sabre fencing and a master in all types of knife fighting. He practices his martial arts as a full-contact variant, with only a minimum of protective equipment. In addition, he has held countless seminars in knife fighting all over the world over the years, as well as producing training and instructional videos. Lynn develops most of the products himself or in cooperation with his team, which also has martial arts background. All knives are worked out down to the last detail and subjected to countless tests.
