Das Rajah III ist ein robustes Klappmesser, dessen Stil an die klassisch nepalesischen Kukris erinnert. Im Gegensatz zu den rustikalen Kukris wurde hier auf einen taktischen Look gesetzt. Die gebogene Klinge besteht aus dem für Cold-Steel typischen AUS-10A Stahl, der extreme Belastungen aushält, ohne an Schärfe einzubüßen. Mit einer Länge von 8,9 cm hat die Klinge die perfekten Maße, um das Messer immer griffbereit in der Tasche zu haben. Die Daumenscheibe kann auf verschiedene Arten zum Öffnen des Messers verwendet werden. Zum einen kann sie mit dem Daumen bedient werden, was bequem und intuitiv funktioniert, oder direkt beim Ziehen des Messers am Hosentaschensaum verhakt werden, was die Einsatzbereitschaft in Bruchteilen einer Sekunde herstellt. Der nahezu unverwüstliche Tri-Ad-Lock arretiert die Klinge dann zuverlässig. Die Griffbeschalung besteht aus widerstandsfähigem Griv-Ex und bleibt auch bei Nässe durch seine raue Oberfläche angenehm griffig.
