Das von Andrew Demko entworfene SR1 ist ein Militärmesser der Luxusklasse, das ohne überflüssige Schnörkel oder Spielereien kommt. Der Designer orientierte sich stark an dem SRK Messer von Cold Steel, welches nun schon seit über 25 Jahren zu einem der beliebtesten Modelle im Sortiment gehört. Die 10,2 cm lange Klinge in Clip-Point Form lässt sich vielseitig im Einsatz oder im Alltag verwenden und hilft bei der Lösung verschiedenster Aufgaben. Sie besteht aus dem pulvermetallurgischen CPM S35VN Premium-Stahl, der sich vor allem durch seine Schnitthaltigkeit, Verschleißfestigkeit und Bruchsicherheit auszeichnet. Der von Cold Steel entwickelte Tri-Ad-Lock sichert die Klinge zuverlässig und gibt auch bei größten Belastungen nicht nach. Bei den Griffschalen entschied sich der Hersteller für olivgrünes G10, das durch seine robusten Eigenschaften auch extreme Umweltbedingungen mühelos aushält und gut in der Hand liegt. Der Taschenclip ermöglicht einen leichten Transport in der Hosentasche.
Cold Steel was founded in 1980 by Lynn C. Thompson and is based in California. Lynn is a true martial arts expert who has been dedicated to the study of many martial arts since his early youth, including Ruy Karate, Thai Boxing, Wado, Jeet Kune Do, Kali and Jiu Jitsu. He is also an extremely good shooter and skilled hunter as well as an excellent fighter in stick fighting, sword fighting, sabre fencing and a master in all types of knife fighting. He practices his martial arts as a full-contact variant, with only a minimum of protective equipment. In addition, he has held countless seminars in knife fighting all over the world over the years, as well as producing training and instructional videos. Lynn develops most of the products himself or in cooperation with his team, which also has martial arts background. All knives are worked out down to the last detail and subjected to countless tests.
