The design of the Ti-Lite 4" Zytel from Cold Steel is reminiscent of the classic switchblade knives from the 1950s. The 10.2 cm (4-inch) long blade is made of the reliable AUS-8A steel, which is very easy to clean and yet durable. If it has become dull after much use, it can be brought back to a very good sharpness without much effort. The blade can be quickly brought into the open position with the flipper, where it is secured by a solid linerlock with a tested weight of 66 kg. The roughened surface of the sturdy Zy-Ex handle scales remains reliably slip-proof even in wet conditions. The skeletonized design eliminates unnecessary weight. To avoid wasting time when using the Ti-Lite 4" Zytel, the guard can be hooked onto the thumb when drawing from the pocket, causing the blade to spring into the open position in one smooth movement.
Cold Steel was founded in 1980 by Lynn C. Thompson and is based in California. Lynn is a true martial arts expert who has been dedicated to the study of many martial arts since his early youth, including Ruy Karate, Thai Boxing, Wado, Jeet Kune Do, Kali and Jiu Jitsu.
