Cold Steel bringt uns mit dem Ti-Lite 6" Aluminium wieder zurück in die 50er Jahre. Phil Boguszewski ließ sich hierbei von dem Kultdesign des Springmessers inspirieren, gab aber seine eigene moderne Note hinzu. Die Klinge aus dem High-Class Stahl CPM S35VN ist trotz des schlanken Aufbaus extrem robust und schnitthaltig. Dank des Flippers und des Daumenpins lässt sie sich fast genau so flink in die Arbeitsposition bringen wie das Vorbild. Der sehr robuste Linerlock arretiert die Klinge sicher. Laut dem Test des Herstellers hält der Lock über 66 kg Belastung aus und beweist damit, dass das Messer auch für gröbere Arbeiten geeignet ist. Die Griffschalen wurden mittels CNC-Technik aus Aluminium gefräst, und die KTL (kathodische Tauchlackierung) verleiht ihm dann das taktische, schwarze Aussehen. Ein Taschenclip ermöglicht das bequeme Tragen in der Hosentasche und eröffnet die Möglichkeit, beim Herausziehen des Ti-Lite das Parierelement an der Taschenkante einzuhaken und so das Messer in einer flüssigen Bewegung zu öffnen.
Cold Steel was founded in 1980 by Lynn C. Thompson and is based in California. Lynn is a true martial arts expert who has been dedicated to the study of many martial arts since his early youth, including Ruy Karate, Thai Boxing, Wado, Jeet Kune Do, Kali and Jiu Jitsu. He is also an extremely good shooter and skilled hunter as well as an excellent fighter in stick fighting, sword fighting, sabre fencing and a master in all types of knife fighting. He practices his martial arts as a full-contact variant, with only a minimum of protective equipment. In addition, he has held countless seminars in knife fighting all over the world over the years, as well as producing training and instructional videos. Lynn develops most of the products himself or in cooperation with his team, which also has martial arts background. All knives are worked out down to the last detail and subjected to countless tests.
