Die Voyager-Serie von Cold Steel besitzt schon seit Jahren den Ruf eines unverwüstlichen Einhandmessers, das keine noch so schweren Arbeiten scheut. Die 14 cm lange Klinge hat eine Tanto-Form, die dem Messer einen leicht japanischen Touch gibt und sich, dank einer stabilen Spitze und guter Schneidengeometrie, für viele Aufgaben ausgezeichnet eignet. Sie besteht aus dem soliden AUS-10A Stahl, der nicht nur extrem bruchsicher ist, sondern auch kaum Pflege benötigt. In Kombination mit dem ergonomischen Griff aus Griv-Ex ergibt sich ein erstklassiges Arbeitsmesser, auf das stets Verlass ist. Über den beidseitigen Daumenpin wird die Klinge schnell in die Arbeitsposition gebracht. In dieser angekommen wird sie von einem extrem stabilen Tri-Ad-Lock arretiert, der eigens von Cold Steel entwickelt wurde. Ein umsetzbarer Taschenclip (Tip-Up) erlaubt es das Voyager Tanto Extra Large am Taschensaumen zu befestigen und damit den Transport erheblich zu erleichtern.
Cold Steel was founded in 1980 by Lynn C. Thompson and is based in California. Lynn is a true martial arts expert who has been dedicated to the study of many martial arts since his early youth, including Ruy Karate, Thai Boxing, Wado, Jeet Kune Do, Kali and Jiu Jitsu. He is also an extremely good shooter and skilled hunter as well as an excellent fighter in stick fighting, sword fighting, sabre fencing and a master in all types of knife fighting. He practices his martial arts as a full-contact variant, with only a minimum of protective equipment. In addition, he has held countless seminars in knife fighting all over the world over the years, as well as producing training and instructional videos. Lynn develops most of the products himself or in cooperation with his team, which also has martial arts background. All knives are worked out down to the last detail and subjected to countless tests.
