The Pilar is a minimalist pocket knife with a clean design and an exciting story behind the name. It was designed by Jesper Voxnaes in his workshop in Logstrup, Denmark, and named after Ernest Hemingway's beloved boat. Hemingway used the 38-foot-long vessel for surveillance missions against German U-boats in Caribbean waters during the Second World War.
The strong blade has a black stonewash finish and a sturdy tip that is well suited for finer work. It folds out of the stainless steel handle via a thumb hole or flipper and is secured by a solid framelock. The smooth blade action is made possible by IKBS bearings. The handle scales as well as the clip are also in the discreet grey stonewash finish. The pocket clip is convertible.
