The Bowie blade of the PRT-I is made from robust Böhler N695 steel and has a partial serrated edge. This special grind makes it possible to cut through textiles, belts or ropes at lightning speed, which is invaluable in emergency situations. The overall length is 20.5 cm, with the blade measuring 8.4 cm in length and 2.5 mm thick. The knife weighs a light 120 g. The handle is made of silver anodised AlMg3 aluminium with a synthetic resin inlay bearing the Eickhorn logo. A sturdy clip allows the knife to be carried comfortably in a trouser pocket or equipment and ensures that it is always ready to hand. The reliable liner lock keeps the blade securely in the working position and ensures easy operation. As a special feature, the lock is unlocked by a push button on the handle, making the sophisticated pocket knife comfortable to use even when wearing gloves. Thanks to the integrated belt cutter and glass breaker, lives can be saved in emergency situations.
