- Order number: JG3-BO
When purism meets practicality, something special is created – like the solid Esee Camp Lore JG3 James Gibson, a fixed-blade knife that brings a smile to the faces of bushcrafters, survival enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. James Gibson, the creative mind behind the JG3, has created a real workhorse with this model – simple in appearance but strong in performance.
The 8.9 cm long drop-point blade made of 1095 carbon steel is exactly what you need outdoors: robust, durable and easy to resharpen. Thanks to the flat grind, the blade is perfect for delicate woodwork, precise cutting or preparing firewood. Typically Camp Lore: no gimmicks, just well-thought-out functionality at the highest level.
The canvas micarta handle sits perfectly in the hand thanks to its special design. The classic “Gibson contour” ensures a secure grip in all weather conditions – whether you're carving, cutting or cooking over a campfire. The shape of the handle tapers towards the base of the blade for controlled work and offers a comfortable size in the middle for fatigue-free work.
Made in the USA and part of the legendary Camp Lore series, the JG3 embodies a return to traditional values: reliability, simplicity, durability. Exactly what you need outdoors – no frills, just a real tool for people who know what they're doing.
Whether on the trail, on a bushcraft adventure or around the campfire – the Esee Camp Lore JG3 James Gibson is always ready for action and feels just as much at home in the wilderness as it does in your gear.

In 1997, Jeff Randall and Mike Perrin set out to combat the over-hyped and heavily exploited survival scene by opening their own survival school, which would again offer hands-on, self-tested survival training. Working with the Peruvian Air Force's "Escuela De Supervivencia En La Selva" (School of Survival in the Jungle), they quickly rose to the top of the most popular survival schools. However, they soon realised that most of the tools advertised as survival knives were hardly up to the standards of professionals. As a result, some time later they started to develop and produce knives according to their own ideas. That was the beginning of ESEE KNIVES. The practical companions quickly became known throughout the outdoor scene and inspire survival professionals all over the world.
