Laguiole en Aubrac makes this very beautiful pocket knife with handle scales made of black African ebony. It is hard, heavy and belongs to the noble wood brands of our earth. Firmly riveted to the bolsters, they form a very nice tactile unit with the solid bolsters of polished stainless steel. The traditional shepherd's cross is perpetuated with narrow stainless steel pins on one side of the 12 cm long handle. If you look at the Laguiole knife on the top of the handle, you immediately notice the ornate (guillochage) feather, which is a visual highlight with the forged bow tie and always delights us when you consider that 109 work steps are required to complete the Laguiole knife. The polished blade made of stainless Sandvik 12C27 steel is opened two-handed and secured by the spring (slip-joint). With an overall length of 22 cm, it lies comfortably, gentleman-like in the hand. The Laguiole en Aubrac is a traditional pocket knife with history. Handmade and manufactured in France.

Laguiole en Aubrac ist bekannt durch seine hervorragenden, handgefertigten Laguiole Taschenmesser und Tafelbestecke, die nur in Frankreich in Espalion gefertigt werden. Jedes Messer wird in bis zu 216 Arbeitsschritten ganz traditionell von einem Messerschmied gefertigt, der sein ganzes Wissen, Geschick und Herz bis zur Fertigstellung des Laguiole-Messers gibt. In der Manufaktur Laguiole en Aubrac verziert ein Messerschmied per Hand den Rücken des Messers mit seiner eigenen Gravur, der sogenannten Guilloche, und gibt dem Messer damit ein unverkennbares Merkmal. Als Grifmaterialien werden wunderschöne Hölzer aus der Provinz, europäische und exotische Hölzer verwendet und passgenau bearbeitet. Die geschmiedeten Klingen werden aus unterschiedlichsten Damaststählen und rostfreiem Stahl hergestellt.
