The Laguiole en Aubrac Japan Damascus Ebony 12 cm is a top-class French gentleman's knife and a real eye-catcher. With its intricately decorated double plates and forged Japanese Damascus blade, the pocket knife is a masterpiece of cutlery. The damascus is a stainless Japanese damascus steel (SGPS) with 65 layers. The middle cutting layer of carbon steel is clad on both sides with 32 layers of damask steel. The Rockwell hardness is 62 HRC, which ensures excellent edge retention and easy resharpening. The beautiful damascus pattern of the blade is discreetly accentuated by the embossing of the blacksmith at the neck of the blade and the handle scales are made of dark ebony. The bolsters the resort and the handmade back spring are polished to a high gloss. The spring is forged from one piece and traditionally decorated by hand with beautiful file work (guillochage). The double plates have been guilloched at the top and bottom to match the resort. The handle is decorated with the traditional shepherd's cross. With a blade length of 11 cm, a handle length of 12 cm and an overall length of 22 cm when opened, and a weight of 105 grams, this knife is a true gem for every collector and friend of high-quality pocket knives.
