With the Dellatorre from Sandrin Knives comes a unique EDC knife for the real gentleman! The folder is a handmade masterpiece, which comes from Italy and is equipped with a very special blade material. Because this blade, covered with a fine DLC coating, is not made of a conventional high-end steel, but of tungsten carbide. This material has always been considered unsuitable for blades due to its enormous hardness, as they would have been too susceptible to breakage. Sandrin Knives, however, after years of research, managed to treat the tungsten carbide in such a way that the hardest, thinnest and most edge-holding blades in the world were created from the material. Despite an overwhelming hardness of 71 HRC, the blade is still as flexible as a scalpel blade. In addition, according to the manufacturers, it is 20 times more cutting than the best high-end and powder steels and extremely durable. Not only from the design, which truly shines with a charming contrast between the red spacer and the black handle, this gentleman's knife is unique. The craftsmanship of Sandrin Knives in general is unparalleled and this is also evident with the Dellatorre. Since it has no lock and is therefore a slipjoint knife, it does not fall under the carry restriction of the German Weapons Act according to § 42a, just like the other models from Sandrin Knives. With the attached pocket clip it can be transported safely and comfortably in the pocket.

Sandrin Knives is part of the Italian family business Turmond S.p.A., based in Turin, which has been dedicated to the material tungsten carbide for two generations. With their many years of experience, they have found ways to expand this remarkable material (tungsten carbide) and have been producing the most precise carbide components ever created by man ever since. The use of tungsten carbide for utility knife blades was considered impossible for a long time. Due to the extremely high degree of hardness and the associated increased sensitivity to breakage, the material in its previous form was unattractive for the knife industry until Alessandro Colombatto, owner of Turmond S.p.A., succeeded in finding an ideal composition for precisely this purpose. With a still unbelievable hardness of 71 HRC, Sandrin Knives blades are flexible, but also considerably more resistant to breakage than ceramic blades. Sandrin knives are made with the precision and expertise that only 40 years of experience in carbide grinding and the knowledge, experience and passion that has been passed down from father to son can provide. Sandrin Knives offers the finest, sharpest and most edge-holding knives the world has ever seen. As none of the gentleman's knives have a lock, none of them fall under the carrying restrictions of the German Weapons Act § 42a.
