The Spartan Blades Harsey Folder Viking Trailwalker Special Edition is not only a highly functional folding knife, but also a symbolic companion for adventurers, explorers, and dreamers. Designed by renowned knife maker William W. Harsey and manufactured in the USA, this model is based on the proven SHF design and has been imbued with profound symbolism by former Green Beret and CIA contractor Craig Forster. The centerpiece of this edition is an artfully engraved bind rune – a fused rune symbol resembling a wandering man with a backpack. It combines the meanings of Othala ᛟ (origin), Raidho ᚱ (path), Teiwaz ᛏ (courage), and Uruz ᚢ (change) into a powerful emblem for all who embark on their own path in life.
With a blade length of 10.2 cm and a total length of 22.5 cm, the knife is just as suitable for demanding everyday cutting tasks as it is for symbolically expressing strength and determination. The CPM MagnaCut blade is 4 mm thick, has a stonewashed finish and combines exceptional cutting performance, corrosion resistance and toughness. Thanks to the thumb stud on both sides, the blade can be opened quickly and safely, while the titanium frame with frame lock ensures maximum stability during use.
The handle is made entirely of titanium and is intricately engraved with the “Viking Trail Walker” motif – a tribute to Craig Forster's travels, especially his recent ventures to Norway to reenact historical special operations from World War II. Weighing only 168 g, the knife fits comfortably in the hand and remains inconspicuous in your luggage even when carried for long periods of time. The high-quality workmanship is stylishly complemented by bronze-colored accents on the screws and axle bearings. The Spartan Harsey Folder Viking Trail Walker is more than just a tool – it is an expression of personality, determination, and the longing for freedom. Whether as a reliable EDC companion, collector's item, or meaningful gift, this knife stands for a spirit of adventure and the will to go your own way.

Spartan Blades impresses knife enthusiasts with high-quality, unique pocket knives and fixed tactical knives. The sturdy knives always come in a wide variety of designs with top workmanship and a good choice of materials. Instead of stainless steel and 420, you get real performance for your money here: from Japanese AUS-8 steel to 1095 Cro-Van to powder metallurgical CPM steel and MagnaCut, everything is included! The company was founded by retired US Army Special Forces Mark Carey and Curtis Iovito. With an unrivaled expertise that comes from 40+ years of professional experience, the two designed and manufactured their first custom knives while still in the military. In 2008, they recognized their potential and decided to produce tactical and outdoor knives on a larger scale. Spartan Blades was born.
The beginnings were spent making knives in an old pre-war barn, and the customer base consisted of friends, acquaintances, old colleagues and absolute knife fans. Today, the still young company can look back on a number of successes and awards won by Spartan Blades with its unusual ideas and excellent designs. The company now delivers worldwide and produces at several locations.
The grading of the knives in the different classes is also definitely interesting:
The Elite Grade with the golden logo only features knives that are actually still made in Southern Pines, North Carolina. They are equipped with the most exclusive materials and will knock the socks off any knife connoisseur.
The Pro Grade with the silver logo are produced in collaboration with Ka-Bar under Pineland Cutlery. Also “Proudly Made in USA” and also high quality, sturdy knives that are not afraid of any outdoor work.
The field grade, underlined by the bronze logo, is suitable for all knife fans who do not have such an open budget. Production takes place abroad. This means that the knives can be offered at a lower price. Despite the good prices, cheap material has not been used here: AUS 8 and CTS-XHP steel are used as well as G10 or carbon fiber.
Whether you are a collector, bushcrafter or blade enthusiast, a Spartan Blades knife is the right choice for everyone!
