Product information "Kihon Bifold"

Sometimes there is no need for a big fuss, an overloaded design or unnecessary gimmicks. Sometimes a clear line, uncompromising quality and a knife that simply does what it is supposed to do – and does it damn well – is enough. This is exactly where the ingenious Boker Plus Kihon Bifold comes into play. It is the result of the collaboration with the well-known US knifemaker Lucas Burnley, who had more than just a knife in mind when he came up with the term “Kihon” – a Japanese term that roughly translates to “foundation” or “essence”. It conveys a philosophy: reduction to the essentials, combined with precision and inner strength. Sounds profound? It is. But it's also pretty practical.

The Kihon Bifold perfectly sums up this way of thinking – literally. The 7.5 cm long Droppoint blade is made of CPM MagnaCut (61–62 HRC), one of the best steels currently on the market. It is hard, tough, corrosion-resistant and stays sharp for a long time – perfect for everyday use, but also for tougher applications. The stonewashed finish gives the blade a subtle, robust look that elegantly conceals signs of wear while looking cool.

The thumb stud makes the knife easy to open, while the solid back lock ensures reliable safety. The handle is made from a single piece of stainless steel, artfully folded and finished with a dark black stonewash – minimalist but striking.

Handcrafted at the Boker Manufactory in Solingen, this knife has everything the modern gentleman, the urban adventurer or simply someone with an eye for quality and design needs. A knife that not only cuts, but also makes an impression.
