Böker Tiger Damascus - noble collector's knife, 19.8 cm long clip-point blade, made of hand-forged Damascus, sturdy frame lock, Micarta handle scales, with lanyard loop
Anyone who knows the manufacturer Böker knows about their love for knife models steeped in history and exciting collector's knives. With the Tiger Damascus, they live up to this reputation. The Damascus blade of this special knife is partly made from the remains of a Tiger I of the Wehrmacht's heavy tank division 502 shot down outside the Latvian town of Bauska. This tank was destroyed in the course of the attempt to push back the Russian forces in a battle and fell into oblivion. After dismantling some of the parts, Chad Nichols, the in-house damascus smith, hand forged the damascus in the "Intrepid" pattern. This is to remind of the traces which the historical tank with the chains left in the earth. The 8.5 cm long clip-point blade made of this material is locked in place by a sturdy steel frame lock after opening. The handle material is black micarta, which is milled to imitate the classic Zimmerit coating of German armored vehicles. A lanyard loop and the milled clip with steel ball complete the knife. Included is a floating display, certificate of authenticity and custom serial number.
