Imposant ist auch das Messer, das in Full-Tang-Bauweise mit einer 11,7 cm langen Drop-Point-Klinge aus rostfreiem 420 HC Stahl ausgestattet ist. Die Heftschalen aus Micarta in Holzoptik liegen durch das ergonomische Design gut in der Hand. Das Griffende kann im Notfall als provisorischer Hammer genutzt werden. Das Selkirk kann mit der Kunststoffscheide sowohl vertikal als auch horizontal am Gürtel getragen werden. Ein Ferro-Silicium-Feuerstarter mit integrierter Pfeife rundet die Outdoor-Eigenschaften dieses Messers sinnvoll ab.

It all began with a young, enthusiastic blacksmith named Hoyt Buck, who was ahead of his time. He was looking for a way to extend the cutting life of steel. He sold his first knives, all handmade, in 1902, even taking worn, used blades as raw material. After the Second World War (1947), Hoyt and his son Al founded the company HH Buck & Sohn in San Diego. With the knife model 110 Folding Hunter and the Back-Lock, Al Buck revolutionized the knife industry in 1964. This blade safety system still holds a leading position until today. Hoyt's and Al Buck's ingenuity made the company famous worldwide.
