Mit der Voyager-Serie hat Cold Steel wohl eines der unverwüstlichsten Einhandmesser auf den Markt entwickelt, das keine noch so schwere Arbeit scheut. Auch das Voyager Tanto Extra Large serrated tritt in diese Fußstapfen. Mit einer 14 cm langen Tantoklinge gehört es nicht gerade zu den kompaktesten Messer, wodurch es aber super mit größerem Schnittgut aufnehmen kann. Die robuste Spitze und die gut gelungene Schneidengeometrie ermöglichen aber auch feinere Schnitte. Als Klingenmaterial nutzt der Hersteller den robusten AUS-10A Stahl. Der Wellenschliff, der nahezu bis zur Spitze der Klinge reicht, erleichtert das Zerteilen von Stoffen, Seilen oder anderen Textilmaterial. Das stylische Stonewash-Finish schützt den Stahl vor Korrosion und lässt Kratzer weniger stark auffallen. Die Griffbeschalung aus Griv-Ex liegt durch die ergonomische Form gut in der Hand und ermöglicht ein präzises und sicheres Arbeiten. Ein Taschenclip vereinfacht den Transport und erlaubt das leichte verankern in der Hosentasche.
