The ESEE Knives Laser Strike is a robust and versatile survival knife that stands out for its high-quality workmanship and practical features. It has a full tang blade made of 1095carbon steel that is protected from rust by an extremely durable powder coating. The ergonomically shaped Micarta handle offers a pleasant grip and comfort, while the recesses for the index finger and the jimping on the blade allow precise handling.
The Laser Strike is slightly larger than the ESEE 4 and has screw-off handle scales that expose a cavity for a magnesium fire steel and a small amount of tinder material. The handle also has a recess that allows the knife to be used as a pressure piece for fire drilling. The robust survival knife comes with a Kydex sheath that can be adjusted for tension. A removable belt clip is included. This allows the knife to be carried very comfortably in different ways. Overall, the ESEE Laser Strike is an excellent survival knife that is equipped for any situation.
In 1997, Jeff Randall and Mike Perrin set out to combat the over-hyped and heavily exploited survival scene by opening their own survival school, which would again offer hands-on, self-tested survival training. Working with the Peruvian Air Force's "Escuela De Supervivencia En La Selva" (School of Survival in the Jungle), they quickly rose to the top of the most popular survival schools. However, they soon realised that most of the tools advertised as survival knives were hardly up to the standards of professionals. As a result, some time later they started to develop and produce knives according to their own ideas. That was the beginning of ESEE KNIVES. The practical companions quickly became known throughout the outdoor scene and inspire survival professionals all over the world.
