F1x Pilot Knife

The F1x is one of the safest and sturdiest outdoor knives on the market. The Pilot Survival knife series from Fällkniven, also called X-series, offers handy and very high quality fixed blade knives. For the F1x, laminated Cobalt special steel is used, which is not only rustproof, but at the same time provides sharpness and stability. The main focus in the design of the knives is handling and durability. It is designed to withstand all the stresses exerted by the human hand, which means that it is practically indestructible. This is ensured not only by the good steel but also by the blade thickness, which at 5 mm can withstand quite a bit. The blade is a full 10.2 cm long, making the F1x also suitable as a § 42a-compliant EDC knife with a fixed blade in Germany. A special feature are also the finely textured handle scales in chic black. These give an incredible good handling and do not slip out of the hand even in wind and weather. A catch cord can be attached to the end of the handle. An elaborately crafted cytel sheath with nylon loop serves for carrying.

Laminated CoS steel

Fällkniven uses a laminated steel because such a steel is at least 20% stronger than a solid stainless steel. The core of the blade is made of high-alloy cobalt special steel, and the outer layers are made of 420J2 steel (420J2 - CoS - 420J2). The steel has a Rockwell hardness of 60 HRC.

Carrying system

Fällkniven relies on its own development for its carrying systems for knives, because the design of the sheath determines the access to the knife. The reinforced sheath is made of the indestructible Zytel and can be securely attached to the equipment with the elongated cutouts. Carrying comfort is also provided by the belt loop made of nylon. The transport lock on the sheath fixes the knife and keeps it in place.
