The knife manufacturer Fontenille Pataud from France is one of the master companies when it comes to handmade Laguiole pocket knives. Excellent is the stainless, 9.5 cm long blade made of 120 layers of rose damask. This has a Rockwell hardness of 56-57 HRC. The spring on the back of the handle features the traditional bee and a beautiful handmade file work pattern. When open, the knife is held in place by the return spring. The ironwood handle scales are fixed on strong plates. The legendary shepherd's cross of rivets is clearly visible. The overall look of this high quality Laguiole Damascus knife is perfected by the stainless steel bolsters.
