The Compact Dragotac Ziricote is a modern friction folder. This centuries-old opening mechanism was installed by Bastinelli in this modern, functional pocket knife of today and has its fandom all over the world. The Dragotac Ziricote pocket knife features an 8 cm blade made of N690Co stainless steel with a Rockwell hardness of 58-60 HRC. The free-swinging blade can be opened with one hand and comes without spring and lock. The handle offers excellent handling. The zircote wood handle scales sit very nicely and stably on the polished plates. The workmanship is impressive. The included antique leather sheath is also exceptional, making this very nice knife a desirable companion.
Friction Folder Mechanism
This blade mechanism has neither a spring nor a blade lock, but when open it offers a similar operating safety as a locked knife by placing the thumb on the blade during use. When the blade is closed, the blade spur protrudes. This can also be used to open the free-swinging blade with one hand. This mechanism has a centuries-old tradition and is also very popular with collectors.
