Practical Hand-and-a-half Sword

The Hanwei Practical Hand-and-a-half Sword is a classic Bastard sword specially designed for reenactment enthusiasts. It is based on the Albrecht sword from the 15th century and impresses with its classic design and good wieldability.  

With an imposing blade length of 87 cm and the 23 cm long handle, this sword belongs to the category of one-and-a-half-handed swords or bastard swords. Such a sword combines the versatility of a one-handed sword with the power of a two-handed sword. The sword is perfectly balanced and allows precise control.  

The blade of the classic show sword is made of high quality 1065 carbon steel and hardened to 50 HRC, but not ground or sharpened to meet the safety requirements of reenactment. The hand guard and pommel of the sword are solid and ornately designed. They not only protect the wearer's hand, but also give the sword the authentic look of the Middle Ages. The handle is made of leather-covered hardwood and always offers the illustrious sword-wielder a good grip and a pleasing hand position.  

The scabbard is made of robust and easy-care fibreglass-reinforced synthetic resin and has a wooden look. It is designed to be both functional and aesthetically pleasing and can be individually decorated. The belt rings on the scabbard can be adjusted for vertical or horizontal carry to suit the wearer's individual preferences.
