The differences between a HELLE knife and most other knives are many. The biggest is probably that HELLE uses a three-layer steel. This means that a core of high-quality knife steel is forged between two additional layers of tough 18/8 stainless steel. This makes the blade virtually unbreakable and keeps it sharp longer. The handle of the HARDING is made of rosewood and curly birch wood and is visually enhanced by fine leather strips. The wood pieces are stored in an oil bath for two days so that the oil can soak into the core. Since HELLE does not compromise on quality, the leather sheath is also produced in-house. The result is a sheath with high-quality workmanship and excellent fit.
