The design of the Flyby is based on that of an aeroplane. A thin tip that transitions to a thicker fuselage and ends with a thinner tail at the handle end. The Wharncliffe blade made of D2 comes in a stonewashed finish. The thin tip allows precise and clean cuts to be made. After opening the blade with the flipper, it is held by the robust frame lock. The grey stainless steel handle sits securely in the hand and the flipper serves as a small parrying element, which increases work safety. The knife has clean lines, which is particularly evident in the transition from the blade to the handle. This shape promises a good feel. A deep-carry clip stows the knife inconspicuously in your pocket without getting in the way. All in all, the Flyby is a successful knife with a convincing design. Ready to take off.

Kershaw was founded in Portland, Oregon in 1974. Many well-known knife designers such as Ken Onion from Hawaii, Grant Hawk and his son Gavin, Launce Barber and others develop interesting knives for Kershaw. Some models come with Ken Onion's SpeedSafe mechanism, which manually raises the blade slightly, then a spring ensures the blade opens in a flash.
