The Gitano from LionSteel comes from the pen of the Dutch knifemaker Gudy van Poppel. With this model, he has succeeded in designing a folding knife based on the specifications of a southern Spanish knife style. The result is a high-quality pocket knife that will delight you just by looking at it. The wide blade is made of low-wear Niolox ( 59-60 HRC) and has a length of 8.5 cm. The blade of the Gitano Oliv is opened two-handed and fixed with the slip-joint spring. The knife presents itself gracefully in its traditional design. The wide bolsters made of 6AI4V titanium with decorated blade screw as well as the handle scales of the excellently processed olive wood underline the high quality of the Gitano folding knife. Stability is provided to the knife by the sinkers as well as a rounded backspacer. Thanks to the stainless steel clip, the knife can be transported comfortably. Gudy van Poppel bladesmith and knifemaker

Gudy van Poppel is a full-time Dutch bladesmith known for his work in both Europe and the USA. He started as a true blacksmith and has been making blades for several decades. In the mid-1990s, he learned to forge his own Damascus steel. Since 1997 he has participated in exhibitions and shows with his handmade knives.
