The Morakniv Basic 511 knife is with 110 grams a lightweight fixed knife without frills. The 9.1 cm long and well-balanced blade Morakniv manufactures from carbon steel, which promises a long edge retention. However, the non-stainless steel should be cleaned after use, as you would with any good kitchen knife. The handle of the Basic 511 is made of TPE rubber and still lies securely in the hand even when wet. For transport or storage of the knife is the plastic cooks sheath, which is equipped with a clip.

Knives have been made in Mora, Sweden since the 17th century. Morakniv originated from two traditional knife smithies from the Mora area, namely KJ Eriksson (founded in 1912) and Frost (founded in 1819). The merger of the two knife manufacturers in 2005 created Morakniv.
