The Lanzo from Sandrin Knives is a unique gentleman's knife and an absolute must-have for every collector. For the first time in history, a knife manufacturer has succeeded in processing the material tungsten carbide, which is normally used in knife sharpeners, in such a way that it is suitable for use as a knife blade. Sandrin Knives' blades are the hardest, thinnest and most edge-holding in the world. They are as flexible as scalpel blades, yet they have an impressive hardness of 71 HRC. They are highly rust resistant and coated with a DLC coating that reduces friction and wear. Even compared to the best premium steels, the tungsten carbide stands out with 20 times better edge retention. The Lanzo is perfect for everyday use. The classy black handle scales are made of powder-coated stainless steel and contrast nicely with the red spacer. To carry it comfortably with you, it has a practical pocket clip. The Lanzo, just like the other models of Sandrin Knives, does not fall under the carrying restriction of the German weapons law according to § 42a, because they do without a lock.

Sandrin Knives is part of the Italian family business Turmond S.p.A., based in Turin, which has been dedicated to the material tungsten carbide for two generations. With their many years of experience, they have found ways to expand this remarkable material (tungsten carbide) and have been producing the most precise carbide components ever created by man ever since. The use of tungsten carbide for utility knife blades was considered impossible for a long time. Due to the extremely high degree of hardness and the associated increased sensitivity to breakage, the material in its previous form was unattractive for the knife industry until Alessandro Colombatto, owner of Turmond S.p.A., succeeded in finding an ideal composition for precisely this purpose. With a still unbelievable hardness of 71 HRC, Sandrin Knives blades are flexible, but also considerably more resistant to breakage than ceramic blades. Sandrin knives are made with the precision and expertise that only 40 years of experience in carbide grinding and the knowledge, experience and passion that has been passed down from father to son can provide. Sandrin Knives offers the finest, sharpest and most edge-holding knives the world has ever seen. As none of the gentleman's knives have a lock, none of them fall under the carrying restrictions of the German Weapons Act § 42a.
