The Spyderco Delica 4 FRN Cobalt Blue/Spy27 is a modern version of the popular Delica, a true classic among EDC pocket knives – compact, lightweight, and extremely powerful. In this version, the Delica features a particularly high-quality blade made of CPM-SPY27, a high-performance powder metallurgical steel developed especially for Spyderco, which impresses with its excellent edge retention, stability, and corrosion resistance. The steel is manufactured by the renowned Crucible Industries (USA) and contains a balanced composition of vanadium, molybdenum, niobium, nitrogen, and cobalt – the latter giving the steel its name (atomic number 27 in the periodic table).
The 7.4 cm long blade with back lock can be conveniently opened with one hand using the classic Spyderco thumb hole. It is ideal for everyday use and precise cutting work and is also well equipped for tougher tasks. With a hardness range of 58–61 HRC, it combines cutting performance and toughness at a high level.
