Probably the most widely built and used tank in the Allied Forces was the M4 Sherman. Designed and manufactured in America, it took part in countless battles in theatres around the globe. Combined with the equally historic Barlow knife shape, which dates back to the knives sold in the 1800s, the Barlow M4 Sherman Damascus is definitely a "must have" for all history buffs. Using various materials from the old tank, Chad Nichols forges unique damask blades in the "Customized Ladder" pattern. This fascinates the viewer and is in fact reminiscent of chain tracks. The M4 Sherman-Damascus can not only shine in the display case as a slipjoint knife, it can also be used as a stylish and useful companion for the trouser pocket. In keeping with the style of the knife, the handle is made of traditional-looking jute micarta and is finished off with two hand-ground stainless steel bolsters. The knife can be opened via the nail pick, but the noble folder does not have a lock.
