The M4 Sherman-Damascus is another special folding knife with a great history from Böker. The world-famous M4 Sherman is one of the most built tanks in the history of the USA and has proven its ability and masterful engineering skills in numerous missions from 1942 to 1957. Böker, in cooperation with the Wartime Museum in Virginia, was able to secure steel from exactly those historic machines, which is forged by hand with 80 layers by Chad Nichols in the "Customized Ladder" pattern. The pattern is meant to be an interpretation of the marks left in the ground by the mighty chains of the tank. The solid frame lock holds the 7.7 cm long clip-point blade in position after it has been effortlessly unfolded via the thumb pin. The colouring as well as the lines of the Micarta and steel handle scales pay homage to earlier war equipment, which is easily recognisable in the simple and above all functional form. It is the small details, such as the design of the axle screw, which is modelled on the main drive sprocket, that make the M4 Sherman Damascus stand out in the crowd. The deep-carry clip allows the knife to be hung securely in the pocket and carried discretely on the man in any situation. Included in the delivery is a noble floating display, certificate of authenticity and individual serial number.
