The elegant Böker MG-42 Damascus Dagger is an excellent addition to the Böker Damascus Steel projects. The MG-42 rifle is one of the most important milestones in weaponry. Its predecessor, the MG-34, was a very popular and convincing weapon. The problem of this weapon was, the high production time and the high material use. Werner Gruner designed the MG-42, which was reduced to only functionally critical details and was an equal successor. Forged by the experienced Chad Nicols, the double edged blade features a beautiful Damascus pattern. The Low Layer Raindrop Damascus pattern is superbly accentuated by the symmetrical profile of the blade. The elegant blade features a slight hollow fuller on both sides. The toggle and pommel are made of solid stainless steel. The design, of the pommel is inspired by the cooling fins and the gas outlets of the MG-42. But here the function plays a bigger role, because the grooves increase the grip in the reverse handle. For the handle, Böker decided to use a barrel-shaped desert ironwood grip. With its shape, the handle automatically centers in the hand, ensuring comfortable handling. Included with the dagger is a high quality dark brown leather sheath with belt loop and place reinforcement. In addition, there is a certificate of authenticity, individual serial number and a noble frame case.
