Tirpitz Damast

A piece of history is catapulted into the present. This unique knife has a Damascus blade from the special armor of the sunken German battleship Tirpitz. A Norwegian diving team has recovered parts of this special armor of the Tirpitz from the fjord for Böker. From this piece of living history, an exceptional 300-layer damascus was forged. The large, 9.9 cm long blade with a hardness of 60 degrees Rockwell draws the damascus pattern "Great Pyramids". The blade is secured by a liner lock. The handle made of high-strength aluminum AIMgSI1 with a high silicon content is hardcoat anodized. The handle design makes the knife feel comfortable and secure in the hand. The handle inlays with the original crest of the Tirpitz are made of domestic walnut wood. The knife combines history, tradition and the latest technology, it is completely handmade and comes from Solingen from the knife manufacturer Böker. Each knife is numbered and comes with a certificate. Supplied with frame casket for presentation and with certificate and serial number.
