Das Decatur ist ein schönes Gentlemanmesser mit einem eleganten, minimalistischen Look und einer feinen Linienführung. Auch wenn es mit dem ersten Blick nicht direkt klar ist, lässt sich die Klinge als Drop-Point-Klinge beschreiben, die eine sehr längliche Form aufweist. Mittels Flipper wird die 8,9 cm lange Klinge aus 7Cr Stahl mit Leichtigkeit aus der schlanken Griffpartie gehoben. Den Griff zieren fein verarbeitete Schalen aus G-10-Kunstoff, die einen modernen Charme in das Gentlemanmesser bringen und dennoch robust sind. Ein Liner-Lock und ein Pocket-Clip vervollständigen die Ausstattung des Taschenmessers.

He sold his first knives, all handmade, in 1902, even taking worn, used blades as raw material. After the Second World War (1947), Hoyt and his son Al founded the company HH Buck & Sohn in San Diego. With the knife model 110 Folding Hunter and the Back-Lock, Al Buck revolutionized the knife industry in 1964. This blade safety system still holds a leading position until today. Hoyt's and Al Buck's ingenuity made the company famous worldwide.
