Das Black Bear Classic zählt wohl mehr zu den ungewöhnlicheren Messern auf dem Markt. Die 21 cm lange Klinge besitzt trotz der Clippoint Form einen doppelseitigen Anschliff wie man ihn sonst nur von Dolchen kennt. Sie besteht aus dem selten verwendeten, aber sehr beliebten San Mai VG-10 Stahl, bei dem eine Lage harter, kohlenstoffhaltiger Edelstahl zwischen zwei Lagen aus kohlenstoffarmen Federstahl geschmiedet wird. Dieser Dreilagenstahl erreicht somit eine herausragende Bruchfestigkeit, mit dennoch sehr guten Schneideigenschaften. Der doppelseitige Handschutz verhindert ein Abrutschen in Richtung Klinge. Der Griff besteht aus robustem G10 und besitzt zusätzlich noch einen Sub-Griff Element, welches ein Verrutschen der Hand unmöglich macht. Dank des ergonomischen Designs liegt der Griff in verschiedenen Haltepositionen ausgezeichnet in der Hand und ermöglicht ein ermüdungsfreies Arbeiten. Teil des Lieferumfangs ist neben dem Messer auch eine robuste Secure-Ex Kunststoffscheide, mit der das Messer sicher transportiert und mühelos an der Ausrüstung befestigt werden kann.
