Clippoint blade
The clippoint blade is particularly common in bowie knives and typical outback/jungle knives. Another sub-type of the clippoint blade is the so-called bowie blade, which is slightly different. Like the Spear Point blade, the Clippoint blade has a false edge, but it is slightly inclined towards the tip and is sharp. The tip is set downwards. It thus offers excellent control and good cutting properties. The back of the blade and the cutting edge are similar to the normal blade. A straight blade back and a straight cutting edge with a large knife belly characterise the Clippoint blade.
