Cold Steel ist für seine Tantomesser bekannt und das zurecht. Sie sind nicht nur sehr stabil sondern sehen dazu auch noch super aus. Mit dem Master Tanto 3V 6" wird hier nochmal eins draufgesetzt. Durch die Kombination der beliebten Master Tanto Reihe und dem sehr hochwertigen CPM 3V Stahl gelang es ihnen ein Messer zu entwickeln welches den klassischen japanischen Stil mit modernsten Materialien verbindet. Die sauber verarbeitete 15,3 cm lange Tantoklinge überzeugt durch ihre außerordentliche Schnitthaltigkeit und einer durch fast keinen anderen Stahl erreichte Bruchfestigkeit. Da der Stahl nicht ganz rostfrei ist, wurde er mit einer schwarzen DLC-Beschichtung überzogen um einer Bildung von Korrosion entgegen zu wirken. Der Griff aus Kray-Ex wird dem Rest des Messers gerecht. Das Griffmaterial ist unempfindlich gegenüber großen Temperaturschwankungen und auch bei Feuchtigkeit liegt es gut in der Hand. Dies ist der rauen und leicht haftenden Oberfläche zu verdanken. Die mitgelieferte, erstklassige Secure-Ex-Scheide sichert das Messer bei Nichtgebrauch und kann links- sowie rechtsseitig getragen werden.
Cold Steel was founded in 1980 by Lynn C. Thompson and is based in California. Lynn is a true martial arts expert who has been dedicated to the study of many martial arts since his early youth, including Ruy Karate, Thai Boxing, Wado, Jeet Kune Do, Kali and Jiu Jitsu. He is also an extremely good shooter and skilled hunter as well as an excellent fighter in stick fighting, sword fighting, sabre fencing and a master in all types of knife fighting. He practices his martial arts as a full-contact variant, with only a minimum of protective equipment. In addition, he has held countless seminars in knife fighting all over the world over the years, as well as producing training and instructional videos. Lynn develops most of the products himself or in cooperation with his team, which also has martial arts background. All knives are worked out down to the last detail and subjected to countless tests.
