RAO Black

"See without being seen". This is the motto of the Italian special unit, whose task is to operate unnoticed in enemy territory. The RAO is a mission knife developed by Extrema Ratio, which follows exactly this guiding principle. RAO is an acronym and stands for "Ricognizione ed Acquisizione Obiettivi" - in English, reconnaissance and acquisition objectives. It has been part of the Italian long-range reconnaissance regiment's repertoire since its first version in 2006. This monster of a knife is truly a monument of incredible strength with its blade thickness of 6 mm. In addition, it shines with a graceful, black tanto blade made of Böhler N690 steel, which is quite massive with a length of 12 cm and can resist any use. For better handling, the back of the blade is equipped with a thumb rest, which allows you to guide the knife even more precisely. The sturdy handle is made of anti-corrosive aluminum. The hand guard on the front handle protects the hand while working. To optimize the safety of the blade, the RAO knife is also equipped with a steel safety bolt, which can be manually screwed to the protective zone of the handle. Thus, you can also use the RAO to comfortably chop wood, for example, without having to fear for your hands. The steel pin is secured with a cord. The knife can be carried open or closed in the M.O.L.L.E. compatible special sheath with diamond sharpener. The RAO knife is also available in the AVIO version as well as in the RAO II version with drop point blade.
