Removing the blade

Hold the knife in your left hand. Use your thumb to push it

out of the latch with your thumb and pull the blade away

pull the blade away from the handle with pliers.

Changing the blade

1. hold the blade firmly with pliers so that the sharp side

the sharp side is facing upwards. Hold the knife

firmly in your hand.

2. insert the blade with the recess into the knife

and make sure that the blade slides into the slot.

Push the blade in until it clicks into place.

3. make sure that the blade is secure.

Havalon entstammt aus dem Mutterkonzern Havel inc., der seit den 80er Jahren chirurgische Klingen und Werkzeuge herstellt. Gerade auch Tierpräparatoren gehören zu seinen Abnehmern. Nach einigen Jahren war klar, dass aus der Art der Klinge mehr Einsatzmöglichkeiten geschaffen werden können. Das Havel-Team setzte das bereits seit Jahren enstandene Know-How ein und entwickelte in den folgenden Jahren ein Skalpell-Messer mit Wechselklinge. Im Jahre 2005 war es soweit: Havalon war geboren. Havalon aus Cincinnati Ohio in den USA hat es geschafft, ein Werkzeug zu entwickeln, das einerseits ein Taschenmesser ist und anderseits ein hoch präzises Schneidwerkzeug mit auswechselbaren unterschiedlichen Skalpellklingen.
