The Kershaw Steppe is a fixed-blade knife that is ideal for everyday use. Designed by the Kershaw Originals, this knife is a reliable tool that comes in handy for both hard work and travelling.
At the heart of the modern knife is its blade made from D2 steel, a high-alloy tool steel known for its exceptional wear resistance and toughness. With a blade length of 9 cm and a hardness of 59-60 HRC, the drop-point blade offers excellent edge retention. The blade has a stonewashed finish that conceals signs of use and gives the knife a robust aesthetic. With a blade thickness of 3.3 mm, it is strong enough to handle even the most demanding tasks. The handle of the Steppe is made of polypropylene with a rubber coating for optimum grip and comfort. The handle scales are machine textured to prevent slippage and underneath is a skeletonised stainless steel frame for added stability. This can also be customised with aftermarket handle scales. The handle has a thickness of 11.2 mm, which makes it handy and light without compromising robustness. With a total length of 19.3 cm and a weight of only 71 g. The polypropylene sheath, which is included, features a versatile belt clip that is compatible with Tek-Lok and allows for multiple carry options, including scout carry, vertical and cross draw. The sheath is also equipped with slots for straps and a water drainage hole to ensure safe storage even in wet environments.
The Kershaw Steppe is designed and quality tested in the USA, while production takes place in China. The knife comes with a limited lifetime warranty, which emphasises the quality and durability of this knife. With its rugged materials, thoughtful design and versatile carry options, the Kershaw Steppe is an essential tool for anyone looking for a reliable and capable fixed blade knife for everyday use.

Kershaw was founded in Portland, Oregon in 1974. Many well-known knife designers such as Ken Onion from Hawaii, Grant Hawk and his son Gavin, Launce Barber and others develop interesting knives for Kershaw. Some models come with Ken Onion's SpeedSafe mechanism, which manually raises the blade slightly, then a spring ensures the blade opens in a flash.
