The Marttiini Kaamos Carbon is a robust all-purpose knife that impresses with its ease of use, classic look, and high cutting performance. Manufactured in Finland by renowned manufacturer Marttiini, this knife is designed for anyone looking for a functional tool for everyday use outdoors, hunting, or bushcrafting.
The 9 cm long blade is made of high-quality 1.2003 carbon steel (X75Cr1) with a hardness of HRC 55–57. This type of steel is ideal for fine carving and is particularly easy to resharpen. Important for carbon steel: care is essential. After each use, the blade should be thoroughly dried and regularly treated with unsalted oil to prevent rusting.
The handle made of stained birch fits comfortably in the hand and offers a secure grip thanks to its slightly textured surface – even in wet or cold conditions. With a total length of 19.5 cm, the knife is pleasantly compact and versatile. The black leather sheath included in the delivery protects the knife reliably and underlines the traditional character of this Finnish knife. The Marttiini Kaamos Carbon is a faithful companion for anyone looking for quality, functionality, and traditional design at a fair price - a genuine Marttiini knife from Finland that looks great in any equipment.

The Finnish knife maker Marttiini is known for its high-quality hunting and fishing knives. Founder Janne Marttiinni began producing handmade knives, scythes and axes in the rural village of Kierinki in northern Finland in 1902. In 1928, he opened his own forge in Rovaniemi, where he produced a wide range of sturdy and well-crafted knives. Demand quickly grew. In 1940, Marttiini built his first factory, which was partially destroyed in 1944 during the Second World War. After the war, the factory was rebuilt in the center of Rovaniemie. Today, the factory shop is located on the site and is called “Marttiini's Old Factory”. Due to the many different knife models and the constant growth, a new, modern production facility was built in 1972, where the knives are still manufactured today. More than 300 different models are still produced by hand using traditional methods and are constantly being improved. Outdoor enthusiasts, collectors, chefs and many other professional users appreciate the outstanding quality of Marttiini knives and always have them with them as a loyal companion.
