Subway Bowie FRN

The French knifemaker Fred Perrin is known for his unusual ideas and his penchant for small pocket knives and EDC's. After the Street Bowie and the Street Beat Lightweight, the Subway Bowie followed this year as a small neck knife variant. Especially practical for everyday cutting tasks, the Subway Bowie FRN is equipped with a 7.1 cm long blade. A great feature of this model is especially the selected blade steel. Because in order to make the Subway Bowie nice and resilient, it was decided to use the very rare LC200N steel, which was only invented in 2013. Originally designed for the recycling, food or pharmaceutical industries, innovative knife manufacturers such as Spyderco are now venturing to use the steel in EDC knives. Thus, the handy tool already convinces with toughness, corrosion resistance and edge retention. Sounds good! And we have not even talked about the handle. Because this consists of very light FRN handle scales and comes in plain black. Despite the compact dimensions, the knife lies wonderfully in the hand thanks to the well thought-out, ergonomic design. A ribbing on the back of the blade increases the grip between the knife and the thumb, which results in good control over the tool. While carrying via Boltaron sheath, it is hardly noticeable due to its slim design and light weight. The handy knife can be fastened around the neck with a ball chain.
