Bronco Basic

With the goal of developing a knife that makes every outdoor adventure a success, Böker created the Bronco Basic. We have here "one for everything", whether camping, hunting, hiking or survival this knife will stand by you like no other. Böker relies here on truly outstanding materials such as CPM-3V steel for the drop point blade and thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) was chosen for the handle.

We would like to give you a closer look at the selected materials as well as the design of the Bronco Basic. The CPM-3V steel was purchased from the world leader Crucible Industries LLC. Hardened to 62-63 HRC, it provides the perfect base for this knife. Its fabulous edge retention, shock load resistance, fracture resilience and shatter resistance are what an outdoor knife needs. The drop point blade is ground in a high set Saber grind, which is preferred for hunting knives. However, it is suitable for both fine tasks and coarse. From stick cutting to batoning, to hunting, any task is possible. At the end of the handle, the tang of the knife protrudes a few millimeters and provides maximum stability to withstand strong blows.

For the handle, Böker chose thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), which is resistant, non-slip, elastic and keeps your hands warm due to the low thermal conductivity. The handle works well in any weather. In addition, TPE is purely physically manufactured and does not require a large amount of energy through vulcanization, making it more environmentally friendly than other elastomers.

Do you need a fire? No problem! Sparking is possible with the back of the blade and a fire starter, because a short part of the back forms a sharp 90° edge on both sides. So you can easily use the fire starter to start a fire.

Of course, an outdoor knife also wants to be well dressed and therefore it comes to you with a sturdy and durable quiver leather sheath.
