Die Taschenmesser-Serie M4 gehört zu den meistverkauften Custom-Modellen von Kit Carson seit 1990. Das Modell M4-02 Bone mit seinem ausgewogenen Funktionsdesign ist ein echter "new Klassiker", der so einiges mit sich bringt. So besitzt der Folder das geniale Outburst Assisted Opening System. Öffnet man die Klinge mittels Daumenlifter um ca. 30 Grad, unterstützt diese "assisted" mittels Feder die komplette Öffnung. Die Arretierung durch ein Liner-Lock erfolgt automatisch. Die hohlgeschliffene, 8,3 cm lange Klinge besteht aus rostfreiem 8Cr13MoV-Edelstahl. Die Backen aus G-10 passen hervorragend zu den hellen, polierten Knochenschalen, die auf den stabilen Platinen verschraubt wurden. Oberhalb der Backen findet sich eine kleine geteilte Daumenauflage. Der hintere Backspacer bringt zusatzliche Stabilität. Mit dem Gürtelclip hält das Messer an der Kleidung fest.
