MKM - Made in Maniago

Maniago Knife Makers is an association of world-famous knife makers with its headquarters in the Italian city of Maniago. Founded in 1960, the joint venture brings together many highly professional companies with the necessary know-how and has been promoting everything that is made in Maniago for almost 60 years. The MKM brand used in the past has been restructured to produce new high-quality knife collections with cutting-edge technology and first-class creativity. They are represented by their polygonal line logo, which reminds us of the mountainside that forms the landscape backdrop of Maniago. With innovative ideas and high-tech materials, they reach the top of quality- Maniago Knife Makers launches with a collection of sports knives made by the local Mikita company network, one of the best in the industry worldwide.

Maniago Knife Makers - Messer Kollektion

The very first MKM brand collection is outstanding in terms of technology as well as production philosophy. Five sports knives in 28 different versions were designed by two world-famous designers, Bob Terzuola and Lucas Burnley, and produced in collaboration with the Mikita business network. Mikita was founded with the support of local industry developer Consortium NIP, which has been supporting local businesses since its very beginning. Mikita was established in 2018 with the fusion of four Maniago-based companies with an already outstanding global reputation: FOX, LionSteel, Mercury, and Viper. Together, these four companies have a 200-year history of knife manufacturing and employ around a hundred people. Together, they concentrate on their skills and experience. Working together as a structured industrial enterprise, they are able to optimise production, marketing and promotional work while retaining their individual expertise and craftsmanship. They offer quality and efficiency for unique, innovative products through a short production chain. With this project, MKM and Mikita won the 2018 Knife Collaboration of the Year award at the Blade Show in Atlanta.
