The chic Leaguiole en Aubrac pocket knife is handmade from start to finish in France. It has the traditional balanced shape that makes the Laguiole knife so unique. The stainless steel blade made of 10C27 steel is secured by the forged spring when opened with two hands. The selected handle scales are made of amourette (beaten wood) and are beautifully drawn differently on each knife. The shepherd's cross is made of small metal rods. The stainless steel fittings are highly polished and provide a brilliant contrast to the wood. In addition, the Laguiole has a stable corkscrew with which you can open a good wine no matter where you are. The forged spring of the knife has been decorated by hand. The typical bee points to the tip of the knife, where it all begins. Each Laguiole en Aubrac knife is made by a blacksmith in France and shows a craftsmanship that we hope will be passed on to future generations. Carrying a Laguiole knife is a way of life.
Amourette (Brosimum guianense, also called Letternwood tree) is a precious wood from the mulberry family native to Guiana. The mottled wood in reddish-brown tones is very dense (not floating) and resembles the pattern of a snakeskin
