Laguiole en Aubrac produces the Laguiole knife Corkscrew Olive entirely by hand. It has the traditional shape of a French pocket knife and also has a 3.5 cm long corkscrew, which will delight anyone who likes a good bottle and is a must-have for their pocket knife. The selected handle scales made of olive wood have a beautiful colour pattern, which is different for each knife. The shepherd's cross was made with micropins. When the stainless steel 11 cm blade is opened with a nail, it is secured by a forged spring. ( Slipjoint) The handmade Laguiole knife from France has a very beautiful decoration (guillochage), which is worked in by a blacksmith with his tool. The typical bee appears at the tip of the knife and completes the overall appearance of the pocket knife.
A Laguiole en Aubrac pocket knife is made according to traditional manufacturing methods. According to tradition, the first knives were made in 1829 in a small mountain village in Aveyron in the south of France and are now among the most legendary knives in France. Depending on the model, the knives are made by a blacksmith in 216 steps. The handle materials come both from the region and from overseas. True to its original, the spring with the bee is forged from one piece and decorated by hand (guillochage). The stop of the spring prevents the blade from striking when it is closed. The shepherd's cross is realised by fine steel wires, depending on the model. Each knife is unique, it is handmade.
