Machetes - chopping knives

The machete is a mixture of an axe and a knife for the work in nature. Especially in sugar cane production, these large and sturdy chopping knives are found. Also hard food can be worked with the machete like the coconut. In difficult terrain or where there no electricity is available, the machete can be a useful helper. Different blade shapes are available. Carbon steel is often used for the blade, which is not stainless, but brings the best sharpness and is easy to resharpen.
